Not for small kids. My five-year-old found it to be spooky. To be honest, it was kind of creepy. The monsters threatened to eat the boy a few times. They said, "I hope you don't have little bones like chicken bones." Not really sure who this movie was aimed at. Kids under 8 would probably be too scared to watch it. It kind of had a dark overture to it. Anybody over 8 would be bored. Bottom, line don't take any small kids. If you don't have any small kids, avoid it all together. VERY boring! And to think I actually liked this book as a kid.
