On a beautiful stretch of California coastline, a depressed mother parks her car on a railroad crossing and awaits the arrival of a speeding train. What follows is the story of two families in physical, emotional and psychological collision; the intertwining tale of Davey, a young boy who couldn't save his mother from the train or herself; Tom, the train engineer who couldn't possibly have stopped the train or time, and his wife Megan, who has no time left.
