This is one terriffic movie. Aside from addressing the issues of environmental destruction, technology overload and the disconnection of people from the environment and each other, the artistic vision is completely different from what I've seen in other mainstream animation. These reviews that point out the lack of dialogue are obviously coming from people so numbed by reality TV that they wouldn't understand non-verbal narrative if it screamed in their ear. Disregard any negatives you may hear and go see this movie.
Don't listen to Katie and Zach who either have no imagination/cre ativity or are either too old to enjoy it, or since Zach is 14, he's at that age (freshman in high school) where he thinks he's too "cool" to be able to enjoy it. This was a great movie with a great message (like all Pixar movies), and the animation was amazing! Wall-E was a wonderful movie that can be enjoyed by all ages as long as you have some childhood left in your life. (although, as always, Pixar includes wonderful adult humor)
This was a terrific movie. It was a little heavy on the message, but that's in all the Pixar films. They said they took a risk not having dialogue for the first bit of the film. It worked unless you're someone who has to have everything spelled out for you. It's a shame that the few negative reviews are giving this film an average of 3 stars. It's worth the 4 and 5 stars that everyone else is giving the movie. Now if I can only figure out why I can't click on the stars to give it my own 5-star rating.
I walked in to the theatre thinking "This is awesome! This movie will be amazing." I walk out "I just wasted two hours of my life on something totally usless and boring." The movie barely has dialogue and it takes place in two places. It's not interesting, and not at all worth your time. Parts of it were cute, but not cute enough to waste your time.
wall-e was one of the worst movie i've seen in a long time. And I saw a couple movies in the past few days. And i've seen movies since I was born14 years ago. That's a lot of movies!!!
Interesting flick, as I probably enjoyed it more than my two children, ages 3 and 7. A little message-heavy for kids, another shot at how parasitic we humans are and the wrath we hath wrought.
Ani mation is spectacular, it's definitely worth seeing.
I really enjoyed Wall-e. It was a totally new sort of movie with a good message/ending. The last few kid movies I've seen have all had "funny" dancing characters that all reminded me of each other. This was really refreshing and touching. The animation is spectacular. It is amazing to think this came out of someone's imagination! My 8-year-old really liked it too, and that's what it was about!
When I left to see Wall-E, I had high expectations, hoping to see the "greatest disney adventure yet"...
And I saw just that. The movie had a very good setting and story, it might as well not have been a "save the planet" commercial on TV!!!
The movie didnt have me snoring several times, It almost didnt mocked overweight people seeing as all the humans in the movie were not "large" and always moved. Overall, I encourage anyone looking for an action, adventure, comedy, or just a good movie to see this movie. But, although I did like it, my little brother and sister thought it was amazing... personally, I did know what they thought was good about it. ITS IMPOSIBLE TO WASTE YOUR MONEY TO SEE THIS UNWASTE OF TIME!
