Synopsis...
Television reporter Angela Vidal and her cameraman are assigned to spend the night shift with a Los Angeles Fire Station. After a routine 911 call takes them to a small apartment building, they find police officers already on the scene in response to blood curdling screams coming from one of the apartment units. They soon learn that a woman living in the building has been infected by something unknown. After a few of the residents are viciously attacked, they try to escape with the news crew in tow, only to find that the CDC has quarantined the building. Phones, internet, televisions and cell phone access have been cut-off, and officials are not relaying information to those locked inside. When the quarantine is finally lifted, the only evidence of what took place is the news crew's videotape.    hide

I%u2019m one of those people that gets motion sick so this movie made me a little queasy, and though I love horror movies I had to close my eyes a couple of times (not due to gore just the shaky cam).

I thought this was a good movie. You have a small build up, and it actually makes sense why someone would be carrying a camera around the whole time. The explanation for the zombies was really interesting and a fun twist.

True the main character bugged me a bit with all her screaming but she did a good, believable job of it. I thought the story line was pretty good and believable. I would definitely suggest this movie to horror fans as long as you are ok with the shaky cam, it always gives me a headache.

I'll give this movie 4 stars for its action and general weirdness. However, the excessive screaming from the main character was a bit unpleasent and the whole Dawn of the Dead thing has been beaten to death. This is not the movie for people who get motionsick either, but all in all worth seeing.

I wanted... REALLY wanted to like this movie. I went to see it on opening day at the first scheduled time as I happened to have the day off work. With that said, movie was just \"okay\". The single camera angle was cool at first but gave me a headache about 20 minutes in. And while I enjoyed the uniqueness of the plot, there were some inconsistencies that frustrated me. My biggest frustration was people \"reanimating \" pretty quickly, while it took others a long time to do so. Also, someone shut that lead character up. Yes, she was emotional and played that well. However, did she have to be on 11 the entire time? Great plot, nauseating cinematography, some characters were great while others, not so much. All in all, I give Quarantine a C or C-.

5 stars for the horror throughout the movie. Emotions ranged from on the edge of your seat, to in your partners arms hiding from the projected image. 3 stars for the quality of the movie. At times, the screen is too dark to see the action. The sea-sickness I felt when watching the movie abated after the first 30 minutes. Overall 4 stars. If you like this genre of film; a MUST see on the big scream...

Why are we so intrigued with watching some 'Realty TV' shows? Because we want to see what will happen next and how the people will handle it. Well, this movie pulls no punches!! Starts off as typical behind the scenes story and takes us on a wild ride through a a quarantined apartment building. This movie continues to use the camera work found in Blare Witch and better put together in Cloverfield. I have become to hold a Grudge (pun intended) towards horror films for not being suspenseful or having nothing new to bring to the screen. Quarantine does it all. There's intrigue, suspense, comedy, and even unexpected moments. This movie was cleverly done and I would have to say that it finally broke the chain of all the weak horror/suspense movies to come out over the past couple of months. Check it out, especially for your Halloween needs!!!
