I enjoyed this movie and recommend it. It was touching, charming, and funny. I thought everyone in it was good. Holly's friend Denise was hilarious in her bar scene, I was doubled-over laughing. Denise was smart, she wanted to avoid the kind of problems so many of us have had in the past. Could also empathize with poor Daniel's past problems.
O.K., at the risk of getting the dreaded "bad box" checked I have to be honest. This is a nice "chick flick". It has touching moments BUT the humor at times is distracting and seems ill placed like a inappropreate word spoken when silence would have been the better choice. The love the mother had for her daughter was really touching...I think Hillary Swank is an excellent actress but this was not in the same league as million dollar baby. It fell short of it's potential, though I did enjoy it...
wow i LOVE this movie. Its my absolute new favorite. its just as good as the notebook. it had me crying and then laughing and there wasnt a part in it that was even close to boring. i would definitly pay to watch this again.
This is my new FAVORITE movie! It had me crying one minute and laughing out loud the next. EVERYONE should see this movie! I usually don't like Hillary Swank but this movie completely changed my opinion of her.
Adorable, moving, and an overall great movie. Gerard Butler's character just took my breath away. He's hilarious, charming, sweet, and handsome (of course). This is the perfect "chick flick" and a perfect "date movie". It made me laugh, it made me cry, and even brought me to edge of my seat. A good romantic movie hasn't come out in a long time, and P.S. I Love You was amazing. I'd suggest this to movie anyone!
This was by far one of the best movies I have seen this year. The inconceivable blend of comedy, tragedy, and humor was one of the most outstanding features of the film. This was the first time I have ever cried in a movie, but the tears only flowed until someone made a witty remark, funny face, or just plain stupid something that fills up the empty space in your heart that it just caused! Definately see this movie!!!
After reading all the reviews giving this movie 5 stars, I was disappointed with the flick. Hillary Swank is a fabulous dramatic actress, but this is an easily forgettable character. The best things about the movie were the good looking Irish men and Lisa Kudrow.
This film was fantabulous, I very much enjoyed it along with my church group and g** friend Raul who cried like a wild banchee bitch being eaten by a werewolf. (But only Raul cried)
I have had a record of never crying on a chick-flick before and now, its gone.....Its was so moving..I cried so much yesterday when we saw it, and I haven't even lost anyone, but I do know I want love like this....i would never NOT recommened this movie...It's now my favorite romantic since Titanic...WATCH WATCH WATCH!! But bring kleenx, that's a demand..
I lost someone very close to me this time last year. Along with just about everyone in the theater, I laughed, I cried, and I related to just about every single frame of the reel. The story line is very poignant, showing the painful reality of loss and the sweet joy of the living who know they are lovable. I would definitely recommend this movie.
