I"ve only been to this theater twice now my husband and i and we love it. We have weekend dates even though we have been married for two years.. I have to say its nice to know for a 1.50 you can watch a movie thats clear,crisp sound and its very laid back and quiet. You cant beat1.50 vs 9.50 at regular movie theaters. We will forever come here thank you for this enjoyment. -
I adore this theater house big time. I enjoy it simply because it's old & has history. It's less crowded, bargain priced, & the non noise level is kept to a minimum. The snacks are pretty good & overall maintenance is kept us to par. I'm reminded of bygone times, sweet nostalgia & life's simple pleasures whenever visiting this cinema. Therefore I am praying this movie house is here for the duration still striving & prospering many years from now. I'll no doubt be an ongoing satisfied patron always. Love this $1.50 movie theater, except for Tuesdays only $1.00. Been going to this theater for the past 16 years, reminds me of a theater I used to go to in downtown L.A. when I lived there. Found it when I took my first cat Zorro to Dr. Wu at the Westhollow Animal Hospital further down Westheimer. -
6/2/12-Yes, it is an old theater and doesn't have fancy seating and a 50 item snack bar... but it does have - 1) Ticket Prices we can afford to pay ; 2) Movies that are fairly recent and sometimes some of the older ones that were great the first time and even better the second time 3) decent price for snacks. 4) usually have movies fit for kids as well as teens, and adults. The movie times are usually close enough that I can let my 11 yr old go to his choice, my teen another and I can go to another.
If you want an immaculate setting and lots of snack choices and movies one the first night of release, you are welcome to visit the big chain theaters. But don't sneer at a place trying to make a family outing affordable.

This theater is the best! I love that they don't make you sit through 20 minutes of previews and commercials before the movie like other theaters do. Also, at $1.50 per ticket, they simply can't be beat! -

Great theater! I just wish people wouldn't buy snacks elsewhere before they go. If we continue to do that we will lose what is for many of us a really affordable option for day out with the kiddo. PLEASE help keep this gem open!! -

I love this theater and have been going there ever since I was little. I'm amazed that it's still open, considering how many things around them have closed out. They have friendly service and great prices on movies. The theater is pretty old, but still fairly maintained. The food is simple, but still good. I think my only complaint is just how many ghetto ass people go there (mainly kids) trying to hook up with people and ruin the movie. I've had it happen twice now. Hopefully next time, they can take some action against that kind of disrespect. Just because it's a cheap theater doesn't mean it should have cheap standards :(

I love this movie theater i go there once a month and is wort it is only one dollar ,before the Movie i stop at walmart and buy some snacks to eat wile watching the movie,the only thing i don't like about the location is a few blocks from my Mother in law, whyyyyyyyyyy.
