I cannot believe how beautiful the State Theatre is. I knew the screen was large but when watching "Lincoln" there the other night, I was blown away how WIDE it is. The clarity of the film on the huge screen was perfect. Additionally, the prices are great (including the snacks), the seats are very comfortable, the sound is terrific, but my favorite is the star-like ceiling. If you haven't seen a movie at the State, you need to. -
Can\'t believe I\'m first to rate the STATE..it\'s GREAT! Comfy seats (made in Michigan) reasonable popcorn & candy, fantastic surround state of the art sound, big screen & such films! and those 25 cent kid matinees, & the HD live MET Operas, & the free college & high school live sports events, free RED Wing Stanley Cup finals, free political convention & inaugural coverage, & the live OSCAR broadcast, & the community movie series.....well the STATE is FIRST RATE. gotta go get more tickets.
