Showboat Theater of Lyons is a very satisfying theater to me. I take all of my Lake Geneva buddies there whenever I get the chance. Sure, it might be a little messy but the showings are never scratchy and it's not ever too hot or too cold, it's just right. I love Showboat. It's a great theater and a great arcade area for the kids.

I have had many problems in the past at this theater. I think they might be under new ownership or something because the last year or so things have been much better when I go. I like going to the Showboat now, hated it a couple of years ago. -
I have never had a good experience there, its like they built it and thought it would maintain itself. Speakers crackle, film often is out of focus and breaks. Even as a last ditch effort I would skip this place for watching paint dry. Its always dirty and in my opinion too expensive for the lack of service and product they offer. The employees just do not care, and the manager is always busy or MIA.

I would not give this movie theater any stars if it would let me post this with out any. It is always dirty in the lobby, theater, and bathroom. The staff is awful. When ever we go they either have a major attitude problem, like its our fault that they work in a dump. It is always cold, no matter what season. The soda fountain always seems to be broken and then they charge up the whazoo for a glass of flat soda (not even a can). I would never tell friends/family about that theater. We travel either to Kenosha or Gurnee to see movies. -
Staff was unfriendly. The girl working concessions was playing with her hair - it looks as if it had fallen out of her pony tail. She was coughing, and putting her hand in the popcorn maker, then eating handfuls of popcorn right in front of us! When I paid for my ticket, she never said a word to me.
The lobby needed cleaned, as well as the bathroom. The theater itself was okay. I would tell friends/family not to go here, but there is not another theater in the general vicinity. Very unsatisfied.
