After taking my kids last night to watch a movie to celebrate my son’s 10th birthday, I allowed them to bring in an “outside candy bar.” Yes I know shame on me for bringing in “outside candy” but remind you, its candy for Pete’s sake! It isn’t drugs or alcohol! After paying nearly $30.00 in movie tickets I don’t think candy bars really put a dent in their pocket book. Also, for the record, I do not make a habit of bringing in “outside candy” either. During the middle of watching the movie, Robert H. Reichert Jr. confronted me in a hostile manner about my kids “outside candy” and was lecturing me about it! I was speechless and a little dazed and confused what he was talking about at first and that a grown man would react this way over candy! He wanted to argue with me! I finally told him to shut up and to get out of my face after he was making a huge scene in front of a full movie theater! Robert then turned around and when I thought he was walking away, he sneaked up from behind my kids and SNATCHED their candy and confiscated it! Really Robert?! Candy?! It isn’t drugs or alcohol! I have never been so humiliated and disrespected in public before by an employee, ever! I have been a very loyal, regular customer but I will NEVER step foot in your movie theater again! I have heard from others of Robert’s temper and I seen firsthand last night how a grown man can over react over me bring in candy! So for parents with young children are they not allowed to bring in a sippy cup or a bottle for their young children? After all, it’s an outside drink. Or what if I were to bring in my one year old Gerber Graduates Strawberry banana flavored puffs for a snack for her, are you going to confiscate that too Robert?! After all, that’s outside food. I do understand your policy, really. But for you Robert to go to the length you did last night and how you over reacted and treated me and my kids is unacceptable! In the past, I have witness first hand Robert barking at his parents and other employees too but I would never have thought he would treat patrons that way. I have read reviews and there have been other complaints about Robert and his unfriendliness. Either he needs to be on a leash with a muzzle on his mouth or fired from his family’s business. With his unacceptable behavior last night he will continue to lose more regular patrons from this establishment. Word of mouth goes a long way and I will say my opinion and share my story with everyone on how I was humiliated and disrespected! Grow up Robert!
