WOW....Have been going to this place for awhile usually a couple of times a week if I there is new movies I haven't seen. I LOVE MOVIES :-)
However lately it has been a terrible experience. My wife and I went to see a movie early one day and after the movie she had to study for a test, so I dropped her off at home and decided to go back to watch a 2nd movie a little later.
I bought the Large Popcorn and drink, right, like $14.00 so I took my bucket back with me because its free refills for the day... got my ticket for the next movie got in line to get a refill on popcorn when I got to the counter the young lady took my container and started to fill it.
a manager stepped up to the counter and looked at me like I was a crazy and said he was notified by the box office that I was bringing in my own popcorn bucket and basically accused me of trying to still popcorn very rude and non- professional.
I told him I had been to a movie earlier with my wife etc; and he said ok we will fill it this time but you need to have your receipt next time. my wife had the receipt in her purse.. I had the receipt for the earlier movie but not the concession.
it was embarrassing to say the least. It's close and convienent to home. everyone else is always friendly and nice and I have gotten to know them pretty well, but this was a trip.
Then I went and watched home front, you talking about rude people. people wouldn't stop talking during movie, constantly talking and texting very destracting I wanted to stand up and SHOUT SUT UP AND TURN THOSE PHONES OFF .Its getting worse at this particular theater!!!
I do agree with drink and food service have met problems so many times nothing prepared long line waits servers Do Not listen to requests
children what goodies so wait and wait , with not a sorry or a smile may help at times........
I live close but i still would go there if I was further away. The fellow with all the complaints must have been having his monthly.... They have always been courteous, clean, prompt and my movie experiences have always been excellent. The theater is clean and well kept. The thing I really like is that they cater to my hearing loss. Their hearing assist devices work well and I especially like the feature when the movie is projected with subtitles. Other than the outrageous prices at the snack bar (but that is true for ALL movie theaters) they rate a top grade with me
Worse experience ever - Went to the theatre last night (Tuesday), waited in line at the concession stand for 10 minutes, when we got our food and got seated in the theatre, we open the hot dogs and they're hard as bricks. Movies already started but we go to take them back and we're told that they don't have any prepared (There weren't many patrons in the theatre). Asked them how long it would be and the manager (Ari) told me that it "would take a lot" to make them and it'll be about 20 minutes. Since we're in a 2 hour movie, I told her we would wait. I knew she wasn't pleased that I was willing to wait but they're my husband's favorite. She told me she'd bring them to our theatre for us. 35 minutes later, I return to the concession stand (missing more of the movie) and the hot dogs are sitting on the counter and the manager is talking to the cashier. She dismissed me as if I was being a burden to her (the MANAGER, ARI), proceeds to tell me that because of corporate they don't have enough people and I'll just have to understand. Meanwhile, I passed 3 managers (all very pleasant) walking around before I even got back to the concession stand. She threw my money on the counter without a care for the fact that I had missed about 30 minutes of the movie in the back and forth. AN APOLOGY for ruining date night with my husband would've gone a long way. This "MANAGER" has no customer service skills and is a stain on the image of this theatre. The worst part was that she addressed me this way in front of the young cashier. Way to train your people to meet (never mind EXCEED) guest expectations. Since when is the customer irrelevant to a business. It was a 7:00 movie - why was the theatre unprepared to deal with their guests ? I would guess this would've been their peak period when they're best customer service would've been exhibited but instead we received the opposite. I too will now drive to ANY OTHER THEATRE BUT THIS ONE.
I find it amazing that on a Wednesday evening cannot see what is on at this cinema on a Friday. Also quality films that need a little brain power seem to skip this location - pretty insulting to the demographic base of the area.
If I could give it less than 1 star, I would. The ushers need to patrol the theaters more often. The people that go to this theater think that rules don't apply to them. Hey ghetto trash, the no talking or testing on your cell phone does actually apply to you as well as everyone else, and I don't feel guilty saying it. The talking during the movie is also very rude. I highly recommend Festival Bay. The prices are lower and the theaters are attended by a much classier group of people.
Amazing place to be!!!!!! Great service, the people there are nice. And all of my movie experiences there have been breath-taking
hate this theater! sucks because its the one closer to us, but i will drive the 30 minutes in order to enjoy the movie! rude a$$ people go to this theater, the last 2 times my chair was kicked all through the movie, the people to our right and to our left talked the entire time! no thanks, i will pay the tolls, the extra gas and even the parking lot to be able to enjoy a movie
This is the best Movie Theater Ever!!!!! This is always clean. there are a lot of theaters and you can always find were to sit. It is also really convenient that it is in the loop. It is also not even that expensive so i think this is the best
Generally clean, accessible, fun. A large number of theaters, generally comfortable seating. You can count on first run movies. Concessions can be a bit high priced, though, there are less expensive local theaters nearby. Has kiosks where you can purchase tickets without standing in line.
