User reviews on Regal Opry Mills 20 IMAX & RPX
We purchased advanced tickets to IMAX Iron Man 2 at this theater. Not only have they been completely silent as to what we are to do now that the theater is under water- but they do not respond to repeated calls, messages and email inquires. The one person I talked to spoke of "policy" and gave a lot of "double talk" but at the end said they would be back to me in a few hours. Now it is nearly a week later. We purchased the tickets in good faith, and though we realize that we will not be able to see the movie here, and the fault is not with Regal, the very fact that they have our money and are not responding, speaks volumes to their LOW level of customer appreciation. When you purchase something in "good faith" you expect to get the product or get a credit. To get nothing but silence speaks loudly that they do not care AT ALL. The flood is bad, this level of customer care just adds Insult to Injury. Regal is a huge company and it would be nothing to them to honor these purchases. I will never trust them again. Do NOT buy advanced tickets. They have STOLEN our money. It is a typical case of Big Business taking advantage of a situation for their own greedy gain. They will write off all loss and still keep the money. I may like to donate my money to a flood cause- but NOT to big business. It is an outrage!
My husband & I saw Alice in Wonderland yesterday (for my second time, his first) & had a horrible experience with the IMAX 3D at Opry Mills. DO NOT SIT IN THE FRONT SECTION OF SEATS or you will not be able to experience the 3D - it will be blurry. It hurt our eyes so badly that we left the theater with headaches and could not drive because our eyes were hurting from trying to focus on a blurry movie screen. I was so disappointed because it was my 2nd time to see it in IMAX 3D, the first was in GA last weekend & had a totally different experience...the sound in GA was far superior to Opry Mills' system & the price was only 25.00 for 2 tickets in GA for the same movie at the same matinee time. I wanted my husband to experience it too, but sadly we paid 34.00 for 2 tickets and a bad headache. Too bad really cause the movie is fantastic. The Opry Mills theater also needs to have lighting on before the movie or at least turn the screen on so that movie goers can find a seat more easily- it was so dark in the theater before the show that even if there had been seats in the upper level, you couldn't find any. The sound system was mediocre and there were small children talking, crying, and kicking my husband and my seats through the whole movie. I am so sad because I was hoping to share a great movie with my husband, but the experience we had at Opry Mills was absolutely terrible.
This is by far the best theatre in Nashville. Not only is it in a great location that my family enjoys, but the staff at this location seems to really care about your experience while there. WE LOVE the IMAX! What a great and enjoyable time we\'ve had at each visit. The screen is huge and the sound is incredible. We just seen Madagascar 2 on the IMAX and it\'s by far my kid\'s favorite movie now. I am so glad we watched the movie on the IMAX screen because it held my kids attention the entire movie. This is a rare occurance if you have children. For the adults, the sound and picture quality was amazing, it\'s a clear difference from watching a movie in a normal theatre! I would recommend this theatre to anyone, it\'s clean and comfortable! Take my word for it!
