User reviews on Redwood Drive-In Theatre
One of the last vestiges of an era. The drive-in experience has never been perfect. There are many who do not remember drive-in courtesy, this applies to both patrons and staff. If one is not prepared to be highly tolerant of others, then any drive-in is not the place to be. For the number of screens, double features, and overall experience of the Redwood Drive-in, it is one of the better entertainment values around. It is wonderful to be able to bring in your own snacks and avoid the high cost and lines of the concession stand. If people would be nice to each other, and consider that what annoys them will likely annoy others, there would be no complaints on this site.
To all you idiots that make the drive-in an unpleasant experience from time to time here are a few tips for ya, 1. No one cares about your system or what you are listening to a******, you might as well blast your cell phone ringer through a megaphone. 2. It isn't cute or funny to flash your lights randomly throughout the movie unless of course you are a loser with no life trying to get in a fight or you are gangsters with no life trying to get in a fight. Thanks for your consideration and thanks to all of you who aren't dips***s.
me and my boys absolutely love this place! drive inn's are the best, fun to be outdoors, two movies for the price of one, my littlest one gets in for $1 and the food is great! The only problem I have encountered is that my car wont run the radio without the lights turning on at night so we have to rely on the people around us radio's for our sound reception. I am not quite sure our handheld would not pick up the station of redwood drive inn so we could have just used it. Me and my boys dont understand why these drive inns are becoming extinct because they are so much fun!!
Staff harasses everyone. Before, in the middle of movie: if your chair is outside the line you are parked in get ready for a "bouncer style" grieving.
We were in a truck bed, but people in front us were given heck in the middle of the movie with 50 extra stalls open. Staff was so loud with them we couldn't hear movie. They walked back and forth in front of us for 10 minutes.
When I finally decided to ask them to movie away so we could watch show, so my kids could see past them standing in front of us, they got in our face.
They also walk around counting "stalls" halfway through: they let several cars with headlights on drive in 30-40min into movie.
Rude, no customer service: get ready not to watch a movie in peace.
I love going to the drive-in movies, I can take my kids and they can't pester anyone! also it is very in-exspensive and we can go get a pizza to enjoy during the movie! The kids love being able to sit outside and watch a movie as well:)
I've been to Redwood Drive-in Theatre to see both of the Transformers movies and it was so much fun. Not only do you enjoy the movie and your own treats from your own car but the sound is amazing. You get to control how loud or soft it is and in the action movies you can feel your car vibrating. I would recommend going here to anyone I know.
The best place to see inexpensive movies seen from the comfort of your own car (Always assuming your car is comfortable). Also you can bring your own treats. Just beware of inconsiderate people who turn on their headlights at inconvenient times.
