The theater is clean and the new seats are very comfortable. True also, you can see movies that are not shown elsewhere in the city. Finally, they don't hit you with twenty minutes of previews and commercials before the movie starts. Not directed at the theater but it is fun to walk the streets of Squirrel Hill after sitting through a movie.

The Manor is a nice old time neighborhood theater that also shows the independent and foreign films. The crowd is generally polite and there to enjoy the movie. The recent restoration is very attractive. The new seats are a bit more comfy. It seems like they also updated the screening and audio systems. This is one of the few theaters where the concessions are reasonable. It's too bad the bookstore on the same block is vacant now, it was a good place to meet early. Parking was never that great and it's worse now, so you have to plan ahead and go early, especially since they show few if any trailers! :)

I love this theater. And the best part is the people who come here usually come here to see the movie. Not talk, run back and forth to the concession stand and play with their goddamned cell phones.

O.k. Here's the thing. The location is awesome. It's a little cheaper. BUT! I've tried seeing 2 films here this past year and both times I had to ask for a refund because the sound and picture were awful! There was a strange feedback humming-type thing one time and a very noticeable shake to the picture another. I remember suggesting they work on the sound a few years ago, but it still totally blew. Too bad. I don't care if it's not state-of-the-art but those things are pretty essential to enjoy a film.

I love thw Manor. It's Pittsburgh last city movie theater. They show many good movies that you can't see at the suburban theaters. The staff is helpfull and they know movies. The Squirrel Hill location great with many good bars and restaurants

I have never been here before. I'm trying to find the movie time for a certain movie that I can't find anywhere else, and it is telling me that I must write a review with a 45 word minimum. It also says to be responsible. I hope this counts as responsible.
