I'm sorry. Saying Harkins doesn't cater to Independent films is a bit of an ignorant comment. It just helped host the DEADcenter film festival. if anything you could talk about the high crime rate that is continuing to grow around the theatre. Tons of muggings and assaults around the back side of the theatre has really rivaled tinseltown as one that can be scary to attend.

well i agree with the over abundance of babies and cell phones, but hey that is life. Other than that i enjoy the staff and the cleanliness of the theater.

Indeed- the theatre is in a great location and is a nice facility but way too many people (and it is not just kids) talk, and text throughout the movies. . I ask people that do this why do they come to the show- just stay home and rent it when it comes out if you want to be goofy. And what is it with all the babies? Baby sitters anyone?
Warren Theatre is much better at policing up this sort of thing- and usually the popcorn is much better. -
It's okay, but now that the kiddies have taken over (weekend nights) it's like comical during a movie. Kids/teens running around with their gdam cell phones open, texting and even talking - probably thinking they're cool. After the movie, you step out and look down the isle to see 15-30 cell phone screens open - it's amazing to see. I had to "report" a family that kept talking during the movie - I can't stand that. Also, it's just a matter of time before some violence starts going down there with the young thug audience I've seen thus far. lol

When Harkins Bricktown 16 first opened, I wa filled with hope for it. It is a handsome theater and the Cine Capri screen is especially impressive. Also it seemed so great to have a movie venue in Bricktown, adjacent to Oklahoma City's business district. However ove the past five years I have become somewhat disillusioned. Harkins turns its back on independent film and caters only to mass tastes. In my mind it now ranks below the more luxuious Warren to the south and the home of independent film in OKC, the AMC to the north.
