We have seen/ heard 2 totally different sides so I was going to compare prices of Geneseo & Tinseltown only to find there is a .50c difference. With that being said- yes maybe they could fix it up a little to make it like a movie experience when you go to the theatres in Rochester, after all it is located in a college town & not in MM. However, on the flip side I have only seen the theater completely packed twice- which were both big pre-sale opening nights. So for them is it worth dumping a ton of money into a place where it's going to take forever to get their money back? Probably not for the mear fact in their heads they are thinking if they don't like it, let em drive all the way to Rochester. So, what it boils down to is this: it is not a fancy big city theater but we don't live in the big city! I like it, it's a descent place, the kids that work there along with the manager & owner have always been nice. As far as bathrooms go?! Are ANY bathrooms ever wonderful? C'mon it's a bathroom!

I've grown so accustomed to poor customer service that when I receive exemplary treatment, I don't know how to respond right away. When my daughter and I exited from one show, we sat to wait for my other girls to finish with their movie. Like magic, the polite young woman who originally sold us our tickets appeared and informed me that their movie would be done in just under 20 minutes. I stared at her in shock, wondering how she knew/remembered what movies any one of her hundreds of customers went to...when I recovered enough to actually speak words, I asked her if she also knew the meaning of life. She smiled as she walked back to the ticket counter, "I'm currently working on that," she said.

Every time we see a movie here, we have to "strain" our ears! Please, turn up the sound a bit!

Geneseo has a very nice theatre. the only thing wrong with it is the rude workers...

The Geneseo Theater generally has a good movie selection for both kids and adults, playing simultaneously. There is also a fairly large indoor waiting area for those cold days/evenings. The staff is friendly and efficient. I have never been there when there was an unruly crowd, like at some of the larger more suburban theaters. The staff will scan the theaters and actually ask you to put your feet down if you have them resting on the seat in front of you. You may not like this, but their efforts to keep the theater nice for everybody is commendable. In my experience, the ladies room is well stocked. As some other reviews have mentioned, it could use some cosmetic repair; although, it is clean. I am happy to have a decent theater with great movie choices in Geneseo. It beats driving to Henrietta every time we want to see a movie!

BE thankful for a cheap theatre within close distance if ur around geneseo, geneseo theatre is a great small town theatre if u want amazing bathrooms go to the hilton and get a nice suite. and i also went there to see the dark knight and it was just fine maybe u were drunk? nextime drive the extra hour to tinsletown for the bigger screen and i bet more then 2 speakers were working its called being in sync so that you dont have an echo from other speakers getting to ur ear later then the closer ones if u knew anything about speed of sound and engineering lol if ur so disappointed dont come back ur 1 ticket wont break it

The employees were nice, and the theater was clean. If you live within 20 minutes of Geneseo it's the logical place to go. I'm glad we have a theater close to home.

I have been going to this Cinema my entire life, its obviously not the best or the fanciest and BOTH bathrooms may indeed need repair, but its not like im going to be watching the movie from the toilet. everything is clean and tidy, Its a very casual theater thats sure to put a smile on all the kids faces as well as adults when they walk in for the first time. Its large capacity makes so even if you are a little late to your selected movie, theres almost guaranteed a seat for you (of course this excludes certain new release movies). But the place really is not that bad, unless your expectations rival that of Donald Trumps. in which case i have select words for you: Go f*** Yourself

Filthy ladies room. Has been in disrepair for years. When asked when is something going to be done about it, the manager always says, "next week they are coming to do it". Ya, right. Been saying that forever, nothing ever gets done. Filthy floor, holes in the walls. Disgusting.

We are new to the area and have been to the Cinema maybe 3 times with friends and had a good time. All staff was helpful even when I bought a wrong ticket. We all should be thankful to still have a theater we can enjoy South of Rochester.
