User reviews on Flagship Cinemas - Waterville
This theater should be ashamed of itself.
First, the good.
The lobby was clean and bright. The halls and bathrooms were clean and bright. The theater was clean, and dark, the picture bright and the sound good. In short, the theater itself was a good experience. The seats were old and narrow, and the center armrests don't lift. There is no stadium seating, and the screens are unusually high in relation to the seats. Still, the theater itself was worth seeing a movie in.
What this theater SHOULD be ashamed of, however, was the pathetic excuse for a concession stand. Not that they didn't have plenty of options to chose from, they did, and it was clean. But the prices were obscene. I literally felt like I was being financially raped. I'm at the theater with my wife, and we purchased a "Combo #1", a large popcorn and two medium (MEDIUM1) fountain sodas. $18 bucks. Really? REALLY? And did I mention the combo prices aren't listed on the board, so you don't know until they ring you up?
Regal Cinemas, you should be ashamed of yourself. Did I mention $4.75 for a single-serving size bottle of Dasani bottled water? FOUR-SEVENTY-FIVE!!!
You, sirs, are disgusting. That was obscene. I may come to your theater again, but I will never, EVER, stop at your concession stand again. Even in Bangor, at the Bangor Mall Cinema, you get a LARGER "large" popcorn, and a LARGE (by more than twice the size) fountain soda, both with a refill (just like Regal), and they "only" charge $10.
Regal Theater's, listen closely. You need to do better. I won't be stopping at your concession stands again for a long time, and when I do, you can be sure I'll be asking the prices first. If you can't even be in line with other movie theater's, I'll take my business somewhere else.
For what it cost us to see that movie at Regal Theater's, we could have driven to Saco to Cinemagic, and seen an IMAX movie, in 3D, and gotten popcorn and soda for less.
SHAME SHAME SHAME on you.
