I love the Dock cinema.....small, and unique....and love the view of Lake Minnetonka and the walk thru Excelsior....great shops, restaurants, and coffee shops......

The Excelsior Dock theater has one of the best Dolby sound systems in the twin cities area. The seats are comfortable and spacious. Unlike other theaters in the western suburbs, the Dock's projector lenses are always sharp and in-focus. Ticket prices are better and their popcorn is the best. Plus it is right by Lake Minnetonka, and across the street from great restaurants, pubs, and ice cream shops. -
Not the best theater for viewing, but it is one of my favorites to go to. It has a very quaint feel to it with only having three theaters, and they have the best popcorn around - real butter, seasoning, the works - and I'm picky about my popcorn. If you're looking for great viewing for graphics and such, maybe not the best pick. But, if that doesn't interest you I would definitely recommend Excelsior Dock Cinema. My family and I have been coming here for years, and have never regretted it. The theater located upstairs has about five rows and it really makes it feel like you're getting a private showing- one of the perks about this theater. Also, it's located in the great town of Excelsior! :)
