I also used to visit this movie theater. However these past few years the neighborhood as well as the movie theater has become skeevy.The Movie theater is located right next to the Highschool, so if you do decide to go just make sure you lock and set your car alarm. -
I also disagree with the negative review of the Grand Avnue Cinema. WHile it is not quaint, I would not call it a "nasty neighborhood or destitute" or the other moviegoers "vagrants". However, it is a diversereport this review for TOS violationmunity and some people have a problem with that. I have been going to this theater with my kids for years and it's absolutely fine. On the other hand, I have had a bad experience almost every time I've gone to the Fantasy RVC - poor or non-working audio and unpleasant staff, not to mention having to feed the meter. I'm with the last reviewer about not listening to narrow-minded people. That reviewer sounds like a pompous bigot. -
Don't listen to the last review of the Clearview Grand ave Cinema in Baldwin. The theatre may need a makeover and it's small but I like small theatres! It is not only close by but easy to get to! It is in a nice neighborhood next to CVS! Don't listen to narrow minded people it is safe! Enjoy the popcorn when you go! -
While this used to be a quaint theatre to frequent, the area surrounding it has become destitute and the other moviegoers are mere vagrants. They do play popular as well as not so popular movies, but you have to suffer through the nasty neighborhood and run down theatre to get to them.
