This theater is needing some DEEP cleaning! Cheap seats, easy to access from most places in Kansas, but everywhere you look, it seems like the janitorial staff is not a priority! It has been filthy every time our family has gone recently and we have gone to this theater since it opened. From the bathrooms, broken doors, floors needing scrubbing, hallways have carpet that is just seen high traffic without being shampooed. We can't see what we are sitting on...I wish the ownership would check this out and get a deep cleaning company in to make some changes! We used to call this our home theater, but we won't be going much longer if things are cleaned up! -

Cinemark Merriam is terrific. Easy access, good movies, and on those rare occasions they have any sort of problem with the movie they hand out free passes. On top of that their prices can't be beat.

One of the nicest things about the Cinemark Merriam, besides the reduced admission of course, is the nearby diverse eating opportunities. Ever had Salvadoran cuisine? How about Mexican smoked chicken and authentic tamales? Either before or after the show, drive two blocks to Merriam Drive take a left on Merriam Drive and try a unique Salvadoran menu at El Pulgarcito, 5921 Merriam Drive, less than a block from the corner of Johnson Drive and Merriam; or take a right on Merriam and go 2 blocks to El Pollo Loco (Crazy Fast Chicken) at 5816 Merriam and sit down to an inexpensive excellent Mexican meal, prepared by a Mexican chef whose wife takes your order in English and tells it to him in Spanish. Great food, great prices, great movies... a win-win-win situation, eh? -
This theater is located in a central spot. Very accessible from the highway as well as other shopping can be done before or after viewing your movie of choice. Nice & clean, plus good selection of movies.
