I went back again and bought my tickets before going and had the best time, the food cahier was very polite and the manager Lisa even nicer!! It all depends on who is serving you and the whole package behind how they were raised to treat people.
I had the WORST customer service I have ever had at a movie theater at this location.
I went with my 18 year old sister and 12 year old son to go see 21 Jump Street (rated "R")
I called the theater beforehand to make sure that I wouldn't have a problem getting into the theater. (I am 26 years old and I have a baby-face so some people don't believe that I have a 12 year old son, so i've had this complication on occasion).
I go to the theater, and I hit the "I don't believe he is your son" roadblock with the cashier.
So I mentioned how i called predicting the situation, and she frankly was dismissive towards me. I asked to speak to a manager (her name is "Lizette").
"Lizette" showed up and I can already tell she had an unpleasant attitude. She was spewing me some dialogue about bringing in doc**entation saying that i am his parent. She didn't even LOOK at my ID when i was explaining my situation. How disrespectful.
She was completely dismissive about me being at that place of business, like she didn't want the money I was gonna pay her for tickets.
Then she was talking about how I am upsetting the customers (when i am TRYING to be a customer)...
...then i left because she honestly doesn't like the business she manages to make money in a recession, especially in the High Desert area where the recession has hit harder than average in California.
Then after this she was exchanging words w/ my sister abt "not to yell at her customers" when she never said a word to them. Ridiculous.
She had no reason to approach us with such a dismissive and disdainful "I don't want you here" attitude when I approached the situation gracefully, so I genuinely feel that race was a factor in this situation (I am African-American).
This movie theater is located next to 24Hour Fitness and Buffalo Wild Wings in Victorville, CA.
The manager's name is "Lizette".
NO business should tolerate racially prejudice behavior in their management, as well as turning customers AWAY from their business in a down economy.
She should be fired, cauz frankly it was her negative behavior that has sparked me to write this review.
