First off the owner harasses his employees by smacking there butts.
Second, the employees a discussing and have no manners.
Third, The place is dirtier then a dumpster.
Finally, The food there is extreamly over priced. -
My husband and I just moved to lakeland and had been trying to find a "dollar" theater, like the one we had up north. It was also run by Carmike. We found this one online and decided to go. Now, I'm not stuck up, and don't mind AT ALL going to cheaper movie theaters, BUT this one was disgusting!!!! As soon as we pulled up, I did not have a good feeling about this theater. It looked very run down and nasty. When we walked in the actual theater, I was surprised because it didnt have normal seating...it had tables and chairs (which I thought was cool). However, when I got a closer look...I just wanted to leave. I was very uncomfortable (in the ripped chair) and could not see how people were eating at this place. I will NOT be coming back. I realize that fixing up a theater is expensive, but just THINK how much business this place would get if they got new chairs, tables, and re-did the outside. The dinner and a movie idea is a great concept, however the look of the place is just GROSS. -
Okay.. I have been to a cheaper theater than this. 1.00 per movie prices.. and the place was clean and the seats were nice. THIS PLACE ON THE OTHER HAND.... Was filthy. They have broken and ripped up chairs. It smells like feet in here. PLEASE CLEAN UP AND GET NEW CHAIRS. If you make the place more presentable, MORE people would come. -
Look, to all you idiots who want to complain about the place, STUFF IT, u get a very good price who cares about the seats, i sure havn't heard anything in lakeland ledger that someone died from eating off the tables, i havn't heard of anyone getting gang green from touching the "nasty" floors, dumbass's leave your freaking shoes on, your in PUBLIC.....go pay high prices somewhere else, cause u know what? when im done SAVING money there, i can take my friends/family to DAIRY QUEEN afterwards...can't do that after the BIG NAMED theaters....and yeah, you can pay an arm and a leg there, who you trying to impress? maybe you men AND women think diner and expensive movie gonna get ya lucky? HAHAHA idiots....don't come if u don't like, i love the service there, i think the girls are very hard workers, and POLITE, never had an issue with the "long haired fellow". get over yourselves. or GO AWAY! oh and btw......RULES are RULES, old or young. stop complaining....but im sure i'll see YOU next week too :D -
For the people that complain about the seats and the theater being rundown if you are not happy then go and pay $10.00 somewhere else. For people like me with children it is a great deal. For the $50.00 it would cost me somewhere else we can enjoy a movie at mug and a snack or even a meal. As for the service I have had the same or even worst at restaurants. I think people should stop complaining and go pay the $7.00 per ticket more at another theater. You get what you pay for. -
Hey now I love my mugs and movies certainly my specialty recliners. I do agreement they need some oil.. but I love the rocking chair effect. Mugs is my get away.. I can always go and pay my 20.25 for three d and d box... but I like my getaway. I wld like to see hoe much they wld charge for 3d.. any way post aging in a few.. -
The theater IS very run down and dirty!!!!! I am also not a fan of patrons washing their own bucket and bringing it back for a refill every time they come in. That would be like taking your dirty plate back up to the buffet for a refill. EWWW!!!! Seats are so dangerous in the Arts that you may just recline back into the person seated behind you. Mold on the ceilings is gross. Cracked seats in Mugs will definantly make an impression "in the butt." But hey.....we get what we pay for. What's playing this week? -
The long haired manager is very rude, creepy, and lazy. He does a very poor job of running an establishment. You go there excited to watch a movie and have a cold beer. You leave feeling dirty and taken advantage of. My legs are usually raw by the end of the movie from the torn seats. Definately dont let your wife take her shoes off to relax because you will need Muratic Acid to clean her feet fom the disgusting floors. So if your deciding to go there, bring some windex to clean the sticky table, also bring a piece of cardboard to level the table or your food will just fall off. Also bring a small cloth to cover the dingey seat. And try not to have contact with the manager. He is a jerk! -
Prices are okay. Wait staff works hard. Management is terrible and, from the looks of things, lazy. My mom is a diabetic who carries a bottle of water everywhere to stifle a cough. Should she just ask for a glass of water instead and burden the waitress? It's not like we don't order well more than enough at the table.

We are regulars customers of the Carmike Palm Cinema but lately become more and more dissapointed in the service and management. Last week seeing Unstoppable in the Mugs theatre, there was only one waitress trying to serve a packed theatre. Service was slow because she was overworked. The mamanger never helps out. Upon leaving he was outside with his dog by the front door . Week before that there was a customer smoking a cigarette by the concession stand. Movie tickes are fairly priced but the popcorn and drinks are overpriced we now do without. The theatre is run down in appearance and not too clean at times. When a business is short staffed, the manager should work where needed. This is not happening here. He spends too much time trying to see if someone is sneaking in their own snacks and we've witnessed him taking away a bottle of water from a very very elderly woman. We felt very sorry for her being interupted during her movie only to have someone take away her water like she's a kindergarden child.
