This theater opened with hoopla only 10 years ago. They received a huge tax break incentive from the city to do so. Nevertheless, they don't seem to have funds to clean the concrete under the billboard. Old gum, turned black, freckles the colored concrete. A general hue of black grunge coats the ground.
There are theater halls with steep sloping seats and rock-back chairs. The arm rest-cup holders lift up. This is excellent.
Smaller viewing halls with smaller screens also exist at Brenden. There have been a few times, on opening night of a big movie, my wife and I found ourselves in one of these cramped rooms. It is disappointing.
There have been two occasions recently when several people (most, actually) in the theater complained about the temperature. The first time it was very hot. The second time it was very cold.
The staff are always very cordial. Movies start punctually.
However, we prefer to drive 16 minutes to Riverbank's Galaxy Theater, which has none of those problems.
Best time to see a movie: afternoon. You can sit with less than ten people attending the movie. Very comfortable.
