I love this place - yes it is costly - but you always get 10% off. If you take your kids - buy the VIP seats - used the 3.50 off coupon you get with all VIP seating - it pays for your kids meats upstairs - and I can have a few beers while watching "Happy feet". It makes the show much better. My kids can get to the restrooms on the second floor with no problems from the VIP section, and without me getting up 2 or 3 times - If you get the "stubs card" you get 10.00 back for every 100.00 you spend - This summer I got a great deal of money back - which I use to treat myself to an afternoon flick when the tickets are very cheap. PS Always sneak in you candy from the get go around the corner - you save a great deal.

It is a very beautiful and massive movie theatre and has a V.I.P. seating wich makes date night even better. The set back is you just better go on payday or it will be a very short date. It is VERY COSTLY to the common working guy. 50 to 60 dollars easy just for 2.

VIP is great & seats are very comfortable but everything is overpriced. Regular tickets are $2 more than other theaters & VIP tickets don't have enough perks to be truely considered VIP in my opinion. I would probably attend this theatre more if it was a better deal. I've decided I would much rather go to dinner elsewhere then watch the "same day as theatres" movies on comcast from the comfort of my own couch than pay prices at loews. For movies I just have to see on the big screen I make sure to be full when I enter the theatre so I just have to pay for tickets. Would rate a 5 if it was cheaper because it is beautiful & comfortable.

This theatre is well staffed, well designed and features goodies of every kind *huge range of consessoins, VIP seating, reliably spotless bathrooms, drinks(bar), where you may smoke ( a rarity in the 'burgh), ice cream shop (retro), and a coffee bar. The reason I rated the theatre 4 stars instead of 5, is that the prices are ridiculous. The food, popcorn, soda, and VIP seating are magnificent so long as you can get someone else to foot the bill. For 2 people to JUST watch a movie on date night, and enjoy a little popcorn, they have to spend upwards of $30.00. Though this place is the best in cushy, yummy, consumer focused entertainment, the prices prevent me from going on a regular basis. Occasionally, Loews Waterfront hosts theatrical events, that you won't find at mom and pop cinemas, ie. Lord of the Rings reshowing that feature one of the trilogy per night and some extended footage. The giant IMAX is as spectacular as promised. The sound is amazing, as is the visual experience. I would highly recommend IMAX for any enthusiast seeking to watch sci fi/action/3D, as opposed to chick flicks or comedies-whose visuals are not as key, and don't require such sophisticated conditions to be enjoyed.

Probably the best movie theater in Pittsburgh. Every seat is a great seat.
There's even a restaurant in the theater. I've tried their VIP service and it's great -- dinner and a movie with priority seating! -
Nice theater, clean and comfortable. Fairly good slection of movies. EZ to park and grab a bite to eat. Concessions are too high priced!

wayne is an uncultured piece of s***. maybe if he went out of his house more than once a year he would know that the waterfront is actually a mediocre movie theater.

the food, bar, and service in the restaurant is outstanding -- great place to spend some time before the movie starts. plenty of parking. This theatre rocks.
