Truly a class Act. Christmas Day, crowds out the door...at least two theaters had the the sound go out. You can't help things going wrong, but it's how you handle it. They had the managers out front in short order handing out two free passes to anyone who had paid to see the films where there were sound problems. Quick response, orderly execution and super attitudes. I've always been pleased with the service here and this crowns it. Great Job Regal!
Regal theatres Live Oak are fine they keep them clean and are not bad as far as the main screens sound is pretty good. I do have a problem with theatres having the small screens paying top dollar to see a movie on a screen that small irritates me now adays you can buy flat screens large enough with surround sound high defanition to make it pretty much the same as that small screens at regal. I get pretty pissed when a movie ends up on these screens and We pay full price to see the damn thing.
I agree with another reviewer I wish the seats reclined. being disabled often times i'm wishing the movie would end cause I am having trouble sitting. I know it's a sign of the times. I do remember the seats in theatre's when I was young. you saw double features no commercials but cartoons. We managed to sit through the whole afternoon watching and enjoying movies in really hard seats. So it's probably a minor complaint. the people at Regal are nice and mostly seem to know what's going on and do a good job. I live in Universal City it's convenient still I do like thier special screen. it's impressive with the sound system .
It would be nice if they had a little more at the concession stand sometimes something besides high salt content which I know is good for soda sales. still they're not bad.
Convenient location. Clean theater. Like the foutain outside. Good food. Optimal screen seating. Watch most of my movies here unless I need a change of pace. I still go to Santikos theaters. I just wish they would make a second run, dollar theater on the Northside of San Antonio.
Nice theatre, good location. I did not care to see "Precious" anyway...
If you're looking for high tech digital projectors and the latest in sound, the San Antonio area isn't the best. This theater is convenient to our home in La Vernia, and we use it most often. The seats are nice enough, but I do wish they reclined. The consessions are average, and the screens along with quality of the projection and sounds is on par with other theaters in the area. The Regal rewards cards is nice and gets you free drinks, popcorn and tickets according to usage. If you have a family of 4, get two cards for the full benefit.
BTW, to the guy that gave every theater in town a 1 star rating due to their not showing Precious, please get a life. I doubt you've even been to most of the theaters, and should therefore keep your opinion to yourself. Theaters are in the habit of making money, and Precious wasn't much of a draw. I'm not sure why you're so upset over this fact, but I have to assume you think their lack of showing the movie was racially motivated. One day, you'll grow up.
THEATER NOT SHOWING PRECIOUS. LOCAL SEARCH REVEALED: There were no theaters found within 40 miles of San Antonio, TX showing Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire
