Cinema 9 is a great theatre.
Very kind employees, clean rarely
are the floors sticky.
If you don't like potheads or if you lack compassion
for homeless people then what's the point of going
to Santa Cruz? Please stay away go to a sterile mall.
We Santa Cruzans don't want hateful, uptight losers
downtown. I'll take a poor kind person (like Jesus)
over an uptight hater anyday. -
This is a GREAT theatre, resonable prices, friendly staff and they recently hired a new Manager (whos very helpful). They always play the movies I want to see I have no complaints. And if you're not down with that, ive got two words for yah! SUCK IT! -

I like this theater, I don't know what people are talking about on here. I went recently and found it clean and comfortable, I've never had a broken seat, they do lean back like they are supposed to...
The food is good, they even have corn dog bites now which are awesome! Prices are kinda high but not much more than anywhere else these days. You can't beat the location, being in the middle of downtown santa cruz there are many wonderful restaurants and bars not to mention great shopping. They do have more movie selections than many other theaters in the area so overall I think it is a good choice. -

This theatre plays the movies I want too see. Unfortuantley the seats are very uncomfortable,broken it's a LAW-SUIT WAITING TO HAPPEN! I do agree that this theatre smells, you can blame that on the vast-majority of potheads and homeless people who they let stink up the joint, since they have no respect for anything! alot of them sneak in anway the security at this cinema SUCKS! and the price for admission is ridiculous you would think with they price they charge, they would be able to fix things, is that too much to ask for? -

The worst movie theater i have been to !!! Firs of all it is always smells horrible inside, seats are broken , everything inside is old to the maximum. Dirty, old , everything is broken , JUST LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE IN SANTA CRUZ !!!

I love this theatre. Why are some people so picky sometimes? They have really good popcorn, amazing prices, and they play some great movies. Also this place is really centrally located so if you want to grab a bite to eat or do some shopping, its all right there. Only think I would ask for is they get the capability to play 3D movies :]
