  Well-known by the locals, this family-friendly movie house is the best deal in the Coachella Valley. Besides some Spanish-languag e screens and low (less than $2) admission prices, the Summer Season shows are kiddie-oriented and the high-season selections are aimed at adults and seniors. The close proximity to Date Palm and Hiway 111 (where all the car dealers are located) makes the place ideal for a movie while your car is being fixed. The only 24-hour supermarket within 15 miles (a Food-4-Less) is nextdoor. Only downside is the absence of walking-distanc e upscale restaurants, but there are plenty of Mexican places and the usual glut of fastfood joints. What more can you ask for??
