Wrath of the Titans 3D Movie Reviews

Wrath of the Titans is the sequel no one seemed to be asking for, but you know movie studios. If there is money to be made, they'll throw a bunch of special effects on a screen, call it a film, and hope for the best. Really, all this movie is is special effects. The story is pretty incidental. Perseus, 10 years after defeating the Kraken in the first film, is living in a quaint fishing village with his son, and doesn't spend much time thinking about his dad, Zeus. Zeus, on the other hand, is thinking a lot about his son. People are losing faith in the gods, and thus, they are losing their power. This is bad, because Zeus's evil brother Hades has made a deal with their father Kronos to capture Zeus. This sends the reluctant Perseus into action, and unleashes a bunch of action sequences that make absolutely no sense. I'm not sure what it takes to get hired as a director these days, but it sure isn't the ability to keep your audiences from getting confused. I couldn't tell who had won until the scene was over, and even then, sometimes I still couldn't tell. The acting goes from knowingly cheeky (Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes, Bill Nighy) to not much acting at all (Sam Worthington, who should be very thankful he has a career). It's a giant mess that makes no sense, as a story and as a movie no one was really pining after.
I thought this film was just like any other big budget Hollywood film: it was dull, full of amazing special effects that overshadowed everything else and finally it was absolutely pointless. I know many people will say that this film is entertaining and fun to watch but I did not find it entertaining at all because I like when films have a purpose and a message and this movie was all about the visuals. I also found the dialogue to be laughable and incredibly stupid and I truly felt bad for the actors who had to act in this film. I saw the film in 3D and I do have to admit that it looked amazing but it is not enough for me, i would have liked some substance.
I thought this film was totally awesome and I highly recommend seeing it in the theaters. This movie looked so cool and I was blown away by the special effects, we saw this film in 3D and it was definitely worth the extra cash. This film is all about engaging your senses and I was definitely engaged and loved every second of it. The cast was absolutely wonderful and I was very impressed and loved to see Liam Neeson in this film, he was a great Zeus. This film is highly entertaining and I can label it as guilty pleasure, I think most people will have a great time watching this film.
