It starts out exciting and carries the mood very well until near the end. Against our will, we and much of the rest of the audience laughed at the zombie trying to get at Brad Pitt's character in the research facility. But bravo for it up 'til about then.

Totally 100% awesome thrill ride. I reminded me of the excitement that the original Jurassic Park brought when it first came out. I literally jumped about 3 times during the movie. Also, the Zombies were not gross looking (barely) and had a logical reason for their condition (infected by a virus). This movie was like being on a totally fun roller coaster the entire time. It stared quickly and held its grip the entire time. Fun the entire time, but not spooky.

My boyfriend was dying to see this film and I was kind of excited as well, I mean it’s Brad Pitt, what girl would not be excited... I have to say that the film was pretty good and even though it had some flaws I still had a pretty good time watching it. I have read the book and the film does not really stay close to it at all, but I did not mind that too much. I found the film to be quite smart and involving and I also thought it was pretty imaginative. Brad pitt was great as usual and I really enjoyed his performance, I swear this guy does not age. Overall, I think the film is worth seeing on the big screen, it is very entertaining and fun.

I thought this film was pretty good and I recommend seeing it in the theaters. I was excited about this movie when I first saw the trailer and thankfully I was not disappointed. I thought the film was thrilling, smart and very original and even though it did not stay true to the book it was a pretty good film. If you like films about zombies i have absolutely no doubt that you will have a great time watching this one. Brad Pitt delivers a capable performance and he still looks very handsome, that sure helps. I thought that the script was very good, the special effects were impressive and I enjoyed the sci-fi elements in the film. Overall, I was highly entertained by this film and I think it was worth my time and money.

I have read Max Brook’s novel that this film is very loosely based on and I loved the book. I thought that the film will stay true the novel because it is so good, however it did not but I still had a good time watching it. The film was thrilling, exciting, smart and extremely entertaining. I enjoyed the sci-fi moments and the special effects were great. I like zombie films but even I am getting a bit tired of them so it was nice to see something different in this film, the zombies are fast and they climb on each other like ants. Overall, I enjoyed watching this film and I think it is a fun film for the summer.

This is a very good summer film and I think it is definitely worth seeing in the theaters. It is full of great action scenes, awesome but not too gross zombies, amazing exotic locales and Brad Pitt. I found the film to be very entertaining and fun to watch and in my book that is a winner. The film is not perfect, it is pretty uneven and sometimes it’s hard to connect with but it’s full of excitement as well. I liked the way Brad Pitt played his character, he gave the hero a bit of soul and conscience. Overall, the film could have been a bit scarier but it is fast and thrilling enough to please a wide audience.

By now I think we can safely assume that the whole zombie genre that crept up on us out of nowhere is here to stay. There will be no getting rid of the hordes of flesh eating walking corpses that once were so terrifying. We've now come full circle to the point where we even kind of humanize a lot of these zombie creatures. So it's kind of disappointing that the movie doesn't really go after zombies in the way I was hoping. It's actually more about viruses and how they spread across the planet. That makes it much more interesting and intellectual than I might have otherwise guessed. There's a good deal of science going on in this movie, a trend that I generally find favorable since it educates and entertains at the same time. That being said, there are plenty of scary chases, screaming masses, and invasions from the sky that will keep the peanut gallery chomping on their popcorn.

I don't care what any of my friends say - Brad Pitt is NOT old. He's still as hunky and as gorgeous as he ever was, even with the goldilocks haricut (if any guy can pull it off, he can). The thing that I appreciated most about him in the movie, however, was not his looks but the way his character made protecting his family just as important as protecting the planet. It was really heartwarming and made me love him even more lol. I guess Angelina and their kids have been doing a good job with him. I was almost shocked by how much I liked this movie given that I generally don't care much for zombies (i think it really only worked in Michael Jackson's Thriller video back in the 80s and never again since- and no, I haven't seen The Walking Dead) but the story in this film doesn't depend so much on zombies as it does on human beings racing to save the planet. A solid B .

So I've been watching how this movie is rated over at rottentomatoes for almost a week now - and the trend as the movie gets closer to release is kind of disturbing. It started out in the high-mid 80s and now it's settled in the mid 60s. Hmmm...ok. Still, keeping an open mind. Then I saw the flick at a late night screening last night and was BULOWN AWAY! Imagine a movie version of Walking Dead that combines elements of Man of Steel and The Dark Knight - that's basically what World War Z is. It's super thrilling, fast paced, and full of details that make the story seem like it's actually taking place. I also really liked the character played by Matthew Fox (the guy from Lost) because it made the movie a real nail biter in the scenes he was in. Brad Pitt is really good as well, as are the actresses who play his wife and daughters. I think this movie is destined to be No.1.
