Winston Churchill: Walking With Destiny Movie Reviews

Winston Churchill: Walking With Destiny is a doc**entary about, obviously, Winston Churchill. Narrated by Ben Kingsley and directed by Richard Trank, this film dives deep into the mind of Churchill and who he really was. The film shows off Winston Churchill’s early realization of Hitler’s anti-semitism very well. I had no idea Churchill had such insight into such a madman. One of my favorite aspects of this film was Ben Kingsley’s amazing narration. He does an amazing job and really keeps the viewer enticed in the film. The film spends a lot of time on Winston Churchill and his history with the Holocaust. It has a lot of amazing footage intertwined in the film including shots of 300,000 Allied troops on the beaches on Dunkirk. I watch a lot of history channel and had never seen most of the footage in this movie. I don’t think this movie is for everyone, but history buffs and people interested in Churchill will enjoy the film.
Winston Churchill: Walking With Destiny is a doc**entary about life and work of Great Britain’s prime minister Winston Churchill. I enjoyed this doc**entary. It was full of great moments and emotional speeches, however, I did miss some historical facts. The film painted Winston Churchill as the greatest of the greatest and failed to mention his dark imperialistic side. I also did not understand why the director did not focus on Holocaust more. I understand it is a very heavy subject, but in my opinion it has to be discussed more in this doc**entary. The director did not raise the question of whether the Allies could have done more to prevent mass slaughter of Jewish people. Overall, the doc**entary was well done and had very charming moments. However, I do not recommend seeing it in the movie theater. I would have enjoyed this movie much more in the comfort of my house.
