I saw this film with my family because I though it will be a great film for a family and it really was not. The film is not lighthearted, it is gritty war epic that is also overly sentimental and weepy. I was actually very disappointed with this film and I did not like it at all. I thought it was way too violent to see it with your children and not satisfying enough if it was only made for adults. Do not get me wrong, the film is still gorgeous visually and the cinematography is absolutely stunning but I did not like the plot of the film. I do not like when filmmakers try to manipulate the feelings of the audience and I felt that happening in this film. Overall, I bet a lot of people will love this film but I was not one of them. -
pass on this movie. visually it is a decent piece of work, but otherwise it is boring and predictable. Better off watching Mr. Ed.
