Violent Blue is a movie directed by Gregory Hatanaka and starring Nick Mancuso, Aneliese Roettger, Silvia Suvadova, Lina So, and Michael Teh. I was completely weirded out by this film. It is a story about a music teacher Katarina who lives in Los Angeles and is completely obsessed with an unfinished symphony. Katarina’s ex-husband Pietro barges into her house and locks her up in a cage. Katarina’s brother Pietro is in a financial trouble and is also visited by a ghost. The story is all over the place and the music in the movie is also all over the place. I felt lightheaded during this movie, it was almost like taking LSD and tripping. The way the movie was shot is just plain weird and I did not like it. I thought the lead actress was good and she should try to get a role in a normal movie. Then again, I went with my friend who is an art student and she absolutely loved the film. I guess I do not have the mindset to like this trippy film. I do not recommend seeing it if you like movies that actually make sense.

Violent Blue directed Gregory Hatanaka's is about a young music teacher Katarina her insane ex-husband Pietro and her brother Ondrej. The way the director shot the movie was bizzare to me. The movie is full of all kinds of music and the way the director shot the movie is straight up strange. The story is also kind of weird, basically Katarina’s ex-husband Pietro locks her up in a cage and her brother Ondrej, who is mute, is visited by a ghost of a dead music student. I felt like I had to be high to fully understand and appreciate this movie. The lead actress Silvia Suvadova did a good job with her role, but then again I was so focused trying to figure out what a hell is going on in the film, I was not that focused on the acting. I think I have to see this movie again just to really figure out if I liked it or hated it. I think it is worth seeing for the music and it is pretty cool visually. Overall I would suggest seeing it, just to experience something different than Hollywwod mumba jamba.
