Ultrasuede: In Search of Halston Movie Reviews
User reviews on Ultrasuede: In Search of Halston
This is a doc**entary about fashion designer Halston, the film is directed by Whitney Smith and stars Halston, Patricia Altschul and Phillip Bloch. I do not recommend seeing this film in the theaters because it is not good. I was so excited to see this film and I was greatly disappointed because instead on really focusing on Halston the director focused on himself which is extremely annoying and disrespectful. If you are curious about Halston i suggest you skip this film because you will not learn much. The director Whitney Smith who I have never heard of before basically made this film all about himself and it was so self indulgent that it made me sick.
This is a doc**entary that explores the clothes and the glamour of iconic fashion designer Halston, the film is directed by Whitney Smith and stars Halston, Patricia Altschul and Phillip Bloch. I did not like this film and I do not recommend seeing it in the theaters. I think the film was messy and unprofessional, I have to admit it was still interesting to watch but definitely not worth the price of the movie ticket. The film was more about the era and less about the man which is a shame because Halston was an amazing designer. I felt that the director of the film was more interested in his own celebrity rather than his subject and that made the film kind of silly.
I did not like this film and I do not recommend seeing it in the theaters. The film was a complete vanity fair and Whitney Smith should not feel entitled to make a film about Halson because he has no talent and he is way too full of himself. Whitney made this film about himself and it was disgusting to me, I really hope people will not go to see this film because it is pathetic and terrible. The film was very messy and quite silly, I was looking forward seeing a film about Roy Halston Frowick but Smith made it all about himself and ruined the film. The film also felt unprofessional, especially when Smith interviews people, I was highly disappointed with this film.
