Trollhunter (Trolljegeren) Movie Reviews
User reviews on Trollhunter (Trolljegeren)
This is a monster movie that is directed by Norwegian writer-director André Ovredal and stars Otto Jespersen, Robert Stoltenberg and Knut Nærum. I really liked this film and I highly recommend seeing it in the theaters. The film is really amazing visually and the Scandinavian landscape is magical. The actors in the film are really good as well and the audience kind of bonds with the crew. The trolls look absolutely awesome and it is truly amazing that the film is low budget, it just shows that you do not have to have a huge budget to make an amazing film. Overall, great film with great storyline and visuals.
I loved this movie and it made me feel like a little kid again who believes in fairy tales. I really loved the storyline and the trolls. They looked amazing and I know that this movie did not have a big budget. I do not know how they did it, but the trolls look real and dangerous. Visually and technically this movie is absolutely amazing, however character wise it is not so great. The characters were not developed enough, therefore when the trolls attack you do not feel scared for them. The actor who played Hans was the only one who developed his character and basically dominated the screen by his performance. I thought that the movie had very charming moments and it is a fiest for your eyes, however it failed in character development. I recommend seeing this movie, because it is amazing visually.
I really really liked this film. It is a comedy filmed in a style of a doc**entary movie. Thomas, Kalle and Johanna are student film makers who go to remote parts of Norway on an assignment and discover that trolls live in those parts. The movie is truly funny and visually awesome. There were plenty of trolls in the movie and they are as real looking as it gets. Special effects in the movie are not huge but very well done and enjoyable to watch. If you have read any fairy tales about trolls and know or imagine how they should look like, you will not be disappointed with how the trolls look in this film. I thought the director’s vision of the trolls is amazing and the visionary part of the movie is flawless. I recommend this movie to anyone who likes creature features. I wish there were more movies just like this. I felt giddy like a child watching this film.
