Tree Movie Reviews
User reviews on Tree
The film is very metaphorical and the tree becomes another character in the film. I liked this movie and I recommend seeing it in the theaters. The film is based on Judy Pascoe's novel Our Father Who Art in a Tree and even though the metaphor of the tree works better on the page, the film is still interesting and touching. In the film the tree has a very big role and I think it was a bit overwhelming for the audience, it was alright for me because I have read the book and I understood where the director was going with it. The film is acted very well and little Morgana Davies was absolutely wonderful and charming.
This is a drama directed by Julie Bertuccelli and stars Charlotte Gainsbourg, Morgana Davies and Marton Csokas. I really liked this film and i highly recommend seeing it in the thetares. The film had a great story and it was beautiful visually and moving emotionally. The film was shot in Australia and the director definitely took advantage of the beautiful landscape of this country. The dialogue was not very good but it was not bad either, i wish it was a little bit more subtle and did not give away some of the moments in the film. The movie is acted beautifully and I absolutely fell in love with Morgana Davies, she is so good and natural in this film.
This is a drama directed by Julie Bertuccelli and starring Charlotte Gainsbourg, Morgana Davies and Marton Csokas. I really liked this film and I highly recommend seeing it in the theaters. the only thing i did not like about this film was the dialogue, it seemed a bit amateur, but otherwise the film is powerful and has a good message. The film is kind of sad because it is mainly about loss and how to hold a family together after it, but I enjoy movies like that. the performances in the film are superb, especially Morgana Davies, in my opinion she carries the whole film on her beautiful performance, it is amazing to watch because she is so young. Overall, if you do not like sad films I would not suggest this one, but if you like to think and wonder about life and the meaning of it all, I suggest seeing this film.
