Early on the idea of downloading a brilliant mind on the internet and letting it develop into a huge power including positive changes in medicine and caring for the planet was intriguing.
Of course the idea becomes increasing ridiculous as the film goes on to " how to stop it". The ending is a disappointment in a big way. My thinking was "how silly" which is a bad way to end an "ok" movie. The acting is ok but nothing great.
I don't agree that many will actually love this movie; my guess is they will find it ok but will find too many parts bordering on the absurd. Seeing it on the big screen actually helps, small screen will only bring out the worst of the movie. Finally - Really good Sci Fi should be reasonably possible and this is too far fetched so it will disappoint no matter how much you love Johnny Depp.
I was waiting for this film to come out for a long time and I was quite excited to see it. I am glad to say that I absolutely loved it and highly recommend seeing it on the big screen. I found this film to be very interesting, thrilling, and absolutely beautiful and bold visually. I enjoyed seeing how the director imagined the future, it was a very different from what we usually see in sci-fi films and I absolutely loved it. The film was ambitious and provocative and I bet some people will hate that but not me. I thought that the director did a great job with keeping a fine balance of this film being warning and celebratory. Johnny Depp and Rebecca Hall have a great and genuine chemistry between each other and that made the film even more amazing. Overall, I had a wonderful time watching this film and so will you.
I was quite excited to see this film on the big screen, because I love Johnny Depp and I enjoy sci-fi thrillers, it’s my favorite genre. My expectations for this film were pretty high and the film did not meet them, but overall it wasn’t bad. This is going to be the film that people either love or hate, and even though I did not have such strong feelings about it, most people will. Personally, I thought that the film had some great moments with beautiful and bold visuals and great acting, but it also had some bad ones too. The film felt poorly focused and ridiculous from time to time, but it wasn’t annoying, I still had a pretty good time watching it. Overall, I suggest seeing this film for yourself, if anything, you will get to see Depp on the big screen.
