If you're buddies are anything like mine, then you'll want to get high and go see this hilariously off the wall movie about the end of times. The best and most memorable aspect of the whole thing is the dialogue between the actors who are playing themselves - I mean they NEVER stop swearing. They are dropping f-bombs and shizznits all over the place! It never stops. It was kind of hilarious to see other people's reactions (especially older folks) who thought they were in for a movie that parodied the Rapture. I mean, it does, it totally does, but it's more about how foolish people who think they're all that act when they end up in the same drowning boat as the rest of us. It's quite a wild ride. Points to James Franco for stealing the show with his uber douche bag routine and also Jonah Hill for being his hilarious self. Glad to see he's back to his fatty fat self, I missed the extra lbs.

I’m sure everyone is dying to know if This Is The End is actually funny or not, so I’ll spare you the suspense of having to search for my verdict in the middle of this review: it is funny – often hysterically funny – and so over-the-top in terms of how crude and raunchy it tries to be that it gets away with it only because the movie is about that most over-the-top and hyperbolic of religious phenomena: The Rapture.

Be forewarned: those who actually believe in the Rapture will likely be offended by the movie’s lackadaisical approach to the End of Times. The human beings here are concerned with their own safety and not with the return of the Prince of Peace. They also cuss, swear, and profane with such regularity that I emerged from the screening convinced that the movie contained more four-letter swear words than any other kind of dialogue. If you’re looking for civility in dialogue, this ain’t the movie for you. It’s profanity porn.

The best part of the entire proceeding, however, is its plethora of genuinely facetious performances. The cast are all playing aggrandized stereotypes of their public personas – James Franco is a self-absorbed douche, Seth Rogen is a chill, pot-happy douche, and Michael Cera is surprisingly douche – but all of them are clearly having such a blast playing to the stereotype of young, hedonistic Hollywood that you can’t help but buy it and revel in it. Expect a sequel (or two).

My boyfriend was dying to see this film and I decided to join him and let me tell you, I am very glad I did, this film was awesome. I have never laughed this hard in a movie theater, I swear I was crying from the laughter. This is the wildest screen comedy in a long time and it was also smart, entertaining and insanely vulgar, but in a fun way. The cast is awesome and they work so well together, it was a real pleasure to watch them poke fun at each other. Rogen and Goldberg are pretty amazing directors and I was very impressed by them. Overall, I highly recommend seeing this film in the theaters.

I was not particularly interested in seeing this movie but my friends really wanted to see it so I went with them and I have to say that I had a lot of fun watching it. I have never seen a film quite like this one and I loved how original and crazy over-the-top it was. It was also extremely funny, even though I usually do not enjoy jokes about urine and semen but in this film it worked somehow and I was laughing out loud, which almost never happens. The cast had a great chemistry and they were super funny together, let me tell you, you will be in awe of the scene with Jay Baruchel and Michael cera was so freaking funny, I almost fell out of my chair. Overall, I can honestly say that it is one of the best comedies I have seen in a very long time.

I absolutely loved this crazy comedy and highly recommend seeing it in the theaters. It seems that Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are a great team and their directorial debut is a great success, I was very impressed. The pair got the balance just right and the film is smart, laugh out loud funny, outrageous and very entertaining. This film feels very fresh and original and I have not seen anything like it ever, and that is a very good thing. And let me tell you, after this film, you will never look at Michael Cera the same way again, that’s all I can say without spoiling the film for you. Overall, it has been a long time since I have seen a comedy that was this funny and I think it is worth seeing on the big screen.

So, I have never been a fan of Seth Rogen and his clan of friends, I just never found them funny. I always thought that their jokes were lazy and gross, so I had very low expectations for this film. I have to say that it was much better than I have anticipated, the jokes were still gross but I thought the story was pretty original and kind of smart. The movie was quite unique and I have to say that Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg did a pretty decent job directing this film. The film is crude and way over-the-top but it works somehow and I actually had a lot of fun watching it on the big screen.
