Strange Case Of Angelica is a movie about a photographer Isaac who becomes strangely infatuated by a dead bride Angelica, who he thinks is alive.This movie is another creation by an infamous director Manoel de Oliveira. I was disappointed by this film. The dialogue was way too long, boring and complicated, imagine reading subtitles of that. The story was not original and the way it was told was just plain boring and unimaginative. I do not mean to be mean but in my opinion it is time for Manoel de Oliveira to retire. I also did not like the way the special effects were used in the movie, it was irritating somehow. The cast was not memorable, the main character Isaac was played poorly and quiet frankly bored me to death. I can not deny that visually the movie was very pretty, but that is the only positive observation that I have. I was expecting to be transported into a world of mystery and magic, instead I was simply bored for an hour and a half. I do not recommend this movie.
