This is really the first must-see movie of the summer that I would recommend to my friends. My bros and I checked it out at a special screening last night and we did NOT stop talking about the movie after we got home. Zachary Quinto was the man with his performance. He really seemed to get into his character more than the rest of the cast. Zoe Saldana seemed cute but she was more like window dressing. Chris Pine was good too but he seems to play the same character in most of his movies. If you are a diehard trekkie you will love this movie but if you are someone who likes big summer action movies you will also LOVE this movie. The effects look especially gargantuan and in your face on the IMAX screen and they almost seem to consume you with the 3D. Sci-Fi doesn't get more exciting than this so I would say you should get your fill while you can.
