Sons of Perdition Movie Reviews

This is a doc**entary about a group of young Mormons who have been raised in the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints who run away in order to be free from the tyranny. The doc**entary is very well made and the story of these young people is sad and inspiring in the same time. It is so scary and appalling what these power hungry “religious” men do to the people that they suppose to care about. I was shocked and disgusted and i am very glad that I saw this film because it definitely informed me about what is going on in FLDS. There is absolutely no freedom of thought and the women have it the worst of all, they are being viewed as baby-making machines and have absolutely no rights. I highly recommend seeing this doc**entary and telling other people about it.
I thought this doc**entary was very interesting and I was terrified and surprised by a lot of things that I have learned about polygamy. The film focuses on a small group of teenagers who ran away from their messed up lives and are trying to make a sense of their new world. It is amazing to see how isolated and without a clue some of these kids are, it is truly scary to see how suppressed these teens are. These kids do not have any papers(social security or a passport) and they are not even able to go to school or get a job. The voiceover by Warren Jeffs was a bit freaky and some of the footage in tge film i really scary in a way. Overall, I thought it was a great doc**entary and it will definitely keep your attention the whole time.
Sons of Perdition is a doc**entary that is absolutely amazing. It is about three boys who leave Colorado City with limited educations who are Mormon and have been raised in the Mormon church. The movie follows these boys as they leave the church and risk going to hell to find greater education and freedom of thought. This movie really does a great job of illustrating the cultish techniques used by fanatical religious groups to keep their people in order. The film is great because it has its ups and downs. It is very interesting as well because you really get a glimpse into the life of people coming out from their religious shell. I really hope this film gets a wider distribution because I think everyone will find value in watching this movie.
