I'm not particularly a Bond fan, but I really like the concept, and I like a good action film. Reviews and people have told me that this is the best of the Bond films, so my teenage son and I went to see it. We both found it boring and hard not to fall asleep through. I've liked Daniel Craig in other movies. In this he plays a competent killer, but has just one look, and no personality. It might as well have been a robot. Same with Ma'am; one look, sober, boring. What this film is missing is CHARM. Some of the earlier 007's have had charm, clever banter, a smile, but this one was really missing that aspect. This film was OKAY, nothing really wrong with it, good graphics and all, but it really lacks that element of getting to know the characters; and a reason to care. Hope the next one is better.

I believe this movie movie looks great,it has good graphics. I wasn't expecting much from Skyfall but I heard so many great things in advance reviews that I had no choice but to check it out. The movie is absolutely amazing, though i might be overstating its brilliance because of how much the last Bond outing underwhelmed me.

I love Bond, who doesn't, but this was one of the worst ones in recent memory. Probably as bad as some really old ones: Live and Let Die or The Man with the Golden Gun. The plot was pretty weak, it was slow moving, and the chase scenes were totally "bush league" for a Bond film. The end was sad, since I am a big Judy Dench fan. Maybe the next one will be better... If you're into James Bond, you pretty much have to watch it - just because. But if they put out another one this poor, the series might be on the way out. Come on Ian Fleming, you're much better than this!

Judi Dench makes them movie worth seeing and the intro to the movie was the best I've ever seen. See it at the Cinerama ---best theater in town.

Very disappointing, as a Bond fanatic. 'Bond' looed ugly, not fun, bad actor, etc, and the plot was silly. The ending is the worst of the movie, with 'home alone' cheap tricks and stupid flashlight scenes. No British help because....oh well, some dumb attempt at an explannation.
DC is ugly, none of the cahrm of SC, and all looked like bolloons, especially the great acting job of the villan--except he is pointing a gun at M and the old fart and .....sheesh--what a disappointment. Go see the old ones that were crafted as fun, entertaining and 'smart'.

Saw this with my wife and kids tonight. My 9 year old actually took a Corgi replica with him to the theater, of James Bond's original Astin Martin that I've had since I was a kid.
The movie was a thrill ride from the beginning and was extremely entertaining. We enjoyed it thoroughly and would highly recommend this movie for the entire family. The S--- word pops up twice that I can remember, but unfortunately my kids have all heard stronger than that at school. The music and sound are terrific as well. We gave it a big thumbs up!

Went to the latest Bond movie to enjoy all the Bondiesm that all of us fans love and expect: intro action scene, intro credits with music, high-speed chases, exotic locales, super-creepy villains and gorgeous Bond girls.
What was unexpected was how good this movie was! The one thing I hate about summer blockbuster movies is the non-stop action with billions of special effects. This movie had the requisite actions scenes with plenty of murder and mayhem, but the quiet scenes in between mayhem was what carried this movie. Terrific introspection and study of Craig's Bond and other characters provides us with insights to this iconic hero. Topics such as retirement, death, reincarnation, suicide and loyalty, betrayal and duty to country, were explored.
The fans got two great movies in one. The first part was the ubiquitous high tech manhunt across the glove, the second half was nostalgic low-tech fists and guns Bond movie filmed in Scotland.
From fantastic cinematography (check out the almost ballet-like fight scene in an office building back-lit by a neon sign, to the witty and crisp dialogue, to Adele's lovely intro song, nothing was done well.
How good was this movie? Ironically good enough that the best sex scene was between Bond and the villain (no worries reader, it was all innuendo), and the best Bond girl was Judy Dench.
Go check it out at a theater...don't wait for the DVD release. This is worth the movie price.

I like James Bond and I wish that I could have them all starting with Sean Conner and I haven't seen the Pierce Bronsnan version. In Skyfall,Daniel Craig is the best James Bond ever,I like the action and I like Adele the singer of the title song and I love her when she'd sang Rolling in the Deep. It's the same old Bond beside the way he does the job;the gambling, the way he like his martini and the woman he meet. It's what every guys' dream or fantasy to be like him.
