I really liked this film and highly recommend seeing it in the theaters. It is a story about a brother and a sister trying to survive by any means possible. I found this film to be very interesting, charming and heartwarming and in my book that is a winning combination. It is a sad film that clearly separates the haves and have-nots and how the main characters deal with that notion. I completely fell in love with Kacey Mottet Klein who played Simon, he was terrific and I was very impressed by this young actor. I was also really in awe of Léa Seydoux whose character was highly unlikable yet she managed to win my sympathy. Overall, it is a great film that is worth seeing in the theaters and telling others about. -
This is a drama about two siblings living in a housing complex below a luxury Swiss ski resort and trying to survive. I usually avid films with subtitles, yes I am one of those stereotypical Americans that is too lazy to read but this time my friend talked me into it and I am very happy she did. This film was really good and i did not even mind the subtitles. I found the film to be very sad and beautiful in the same time, the characters were well developed and compelling. I especially liked Léa Seydoux’s performance, she brought a lot of depth and emotion to a highly unsympathetic character, it was very impressive. I pretty much fell in love with Simon (Kacey Mottet Klein) and I hope that Klein will keep on getting roles because he is a terrific young actor. Overall, I highly recommend seeing this film in the theaters.
