I really liked this film and I highly recommend seeing it in the theaters. I am a huge fan of Kristin Scott Thomas and once again I was amazed by her talent and her ability to make the audience believe everything that she does, she is the most talented actress of our time. This film would not be half as good without Thomas and i think everybody knows that. Anyway, i thought the film was very interesting and engaging and I thought it was masterfully made. I think the story itself is gripping and chilling and that helps out a lot. Overall, I think it is definitely worth seeing this film and you will not regret it.

This is a drama about a Parisian journalist whose life gets entangled with young girl whose family was torn apart during the notorious Vel' d'Hiv Roundup in 1942, the film is directed by Gilles Paquet-Brenner and stars Kristin Scott Thomas, Mélusine Mayance and Niels Arestrup. I absolutely loved this film and highly recommend seeing it in the theaters. I think this film owes most of its success to Kristin Scott Thomas, she played the character superbly and i was mesmerized by her talent. The film is very truthful and I love that it is not afraid to show the harsh reality. The film is compelling and beautifully made, I had a great time watching it.

Fantastic film. The little girl who plays Sarah should be up for an award for carrying a film with such authenticity and gravitas. My boyfriend even cried. We were silent all the way home, and two days later I couldn't forget it, replaying scenes in my head... it prompted me to read the history behind the key event - the deportation of Jews by French government on July 16th 1942, via the Vendrome in Paris. Not your usual "holocaust" film, there are multiple storylines going on, and the holocaust itself is not the actual subject - in this case, you see almost no Germans at all. It's an indictment of the French government - in fact, it was only in 1995 that Jacques Chirac finally publicly acknowledged the state's role in sending the 13,000 mostly-women and children to their deaths. Must see.

I have read the novel and i remember thinking that someone should make a film based on this book and i am so happy that the director Gilles Paquet-Brenner decided to do it. I think that the film was absolutely wonderful and I highly recommend seeing it in the theaters. The film has a very strong cast that includes Kristin Scott Thomas, Mélusine Mayance and Niels Arestrup. Kristin Scott Thomas does an amzing job with her role and she is very believable and natural in it. This is one of those movies that will make you think and question and that is a very good thing.
