Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. That about sums up my review. When I asked my kids if they liked it, they blandly said, "Yeah." However, they didn't talk about the movie at all. Had no lasting affect on you. Boring. Generic. I give it 1 1/2 stars.

My son and I enjoyed Rio 2, we loved the color and the excitement of Rio and tropical places like the Amazon. We just suffered through a very rough winter and are looking forward to warm temperatures!!

My sister and her family were visiting me for the week and we decided to go see this film, because they really enjoyed the first one. I don’t have children, so I have not seen the previous film and honestly I did not plan to see this one. Anyway, I saw it with my family and I wish I did not, it was the most exhausting 2 hours of my life and I wish I could take those 2 hours back. I realize that this animation was created for children and they really enjoyed it, but one would hope that the creators of the film would also think of the parents who will have to see it with their children. Well, they did not, because the film was created solely for children and the adults had to suffer through it. The animation was very colorful, too colorful if that’s possible, it was very chaotic as well and the story was all over the place. Overall, I would try to find a different animation to see with your children if possible, however if your kids make you see this one, well I would have some earphones with me to fade out the never-ending noise of this film.

I took my brothers little boy to see this film and he absolutely loved it, while I had a decent time watching it as well. As an aunt, I have to sit through some miserable films that my little nephew wants to see. So when he told me he wants to see Rio 2, I was preparing myself for the worst, not because I did not like the previous film (I actually have not seen it), but because the trailer looked so busy and chaotic. I had my bottle of Aspirin ready to relieve the headache that I thought this film will cause, but I am glad to say that I did not have to use it. The movie was definitely very colorful, energetic, and a bit chaotic, but it was not overwhelmingly so and I actually ended up having a pretty good time watching it. I liked the characters and the songs, even though the story had some holes and the transitions were not smooth, overall this film was a winner. Mainly because my little nephew absolutely loved it, he could not stop talking about it and that put a huge smile on my face.

I took my sister’s children to see it with me and all of us had a good time. Well, they had a better time than I did, but for animated feature about birds, it wasn’t half bad. I have not seen the previous film and one really doesn’t have to in order to understand this one. The film was colorful and quite charming, it was made for children and they definitely loved it. As an adult I saw a lot of flaws in it, but overall it was an enjoyable experience. I liked the message of the film and the characters were fun and memorable. The story was patchy and the transitions were not the smoothest, but the musical parts of the film were great. Overall, it is a great film for the whole family and I recommend seeing it on the big screen.
