Riddick Movie Reviews
User reviews on Riddick
I did not want to see this film but we made a deal with my boyfriend that if I see one movie he wants to see, then he will see a film that I want to see. So, the film wasn’t as bad as I thought but it was not good either. I love sci-fi films but I like the ones that deal with space and aliens and this one was all about monster, killing and being a macho man. I found the dialogue of this film to be quite ridiculous and extremely cheese, especially when it was delivered by Vin Diesel. I felt that this film did not further the character’s story at all and character’s potential was wasted.
I am a big fan of the previous films and I had very high hopes for this last one, however I left the theater a bit disappointed. The film was not horrible but it was not good either and I wish the creators of this last film stayed true to the mythology of Ridd***, because it seemed that they lost their way. The film has many flaws and it is quite ridiculous at times, however it was still entertaining and I can not say that I did not have a good time watching it, I just wish the film had a little more soul. Overall, I still think that the film is worth watching on the big screen, especially if you are a fan, just don’t go in having high expectations and you will have a good time.
My boyfriend was dying to see this film and I went along with him because I am a good girlfriend and because Vin Diesel is not a sore sight for my eyes. I have to say that I have not seen the previous films so I can not compare, however this film was not half bad and I actually had a pretty good time watching it. Vin was kind of silent in this film and I wish his character was a bit more lively but I still enjoyed watching him being a bad ass. I did not really find the aliens to be scary at all and I did not enjoy the supporting characters, I thought they were kind of dull. Overall, this film was created for the male audience and it is just so full of testosterone that it was kind of hard to handle it sometimes.
