My friend really wanted to see this film and I went along with him, however I wish I did not, it was a huge waste of my time. Nothing in this film make sense or adds up and I felt very annoyed by that. It seemed that the makers of this film wanted to say something but they did not succeed at all. The film was quite boring as well and I did not enjoy watching sad-faced Statham walking around his apartment for long periods of time. Some of the film is hilariously awful but Statham takes it seriously and I have to say he does a pretty good job in this film. Overall, I do not think this film is worth seeing in the theaters but I bet it will find its audience.
Has Jason Statham ever played a character that didn't live in a dystopia? Scratch that question - has he ever played a character capable of smiling? Lol well if you're expecting to see him in a happy rainbows and butterflies role then you don't know Statham, who is a notorious bad arse. This time he's back as yet another avenge seeker who oozes the grim demeanor you'd expect from someone who doles out justice his own style. The dystopia this time is London and he's obviously a fish out of water. The action sequences are pretty good, though they could have benefited from some better editing. Also, the cheesy dialogue didn't help the story, such as stories in action flicks tend to go. At times, the action gets a little too long (hello, The Hobbit?) and you long for a pause in all the wham bam. So those who don't enjoy action flicks just might suffer post traumatic stress from this one.
