OK, if you want to see good acting and good directing you'll want to see "Rachel Getting Married". If you want to see a spoiled, self indulgent addict out of rehab for the weekend so that she can spoil her sister's wedding by acting like an idiot, you'll want to see it. Anne Hathaway does a good job and may find award nominations coming her way later this year, but her character needs a good spanking. The movie is too heavy on what I refer to as a family living the "Bohemian Lifestyle", all inclusive and politically correct and what not. This is not a feel good movie, in fact, I think I went home and took a shower. If you want to see it, rent it.

this is a terrific movie! don\\\'t be put off by the hand held camera technique; it takes a little getting used to, but after 15 minutes, you have forgotten it and instead become absorbed in the story and characters.\\n\\nthis is one of those rare films by a marquee Hollywood director in that it is anti-Hollywood in the very best sense. It is about everyday family dynamics, in this it is deeply textured with totally absorbing character portraits, sense of place and action. \\n\\nAnne Hathaway is truly remarkable as the lead character and the fact that she is surrounded by a cast of actors with low face recognition value just adds to the \\\"realism\\\" of the narrative. \\n\\nGive this film a chance and you will find yourself sitting through all the credits at the end, because you don\\\'t want to let go of what you have just experienced.

Probably a good movie. Warning: this movie was filmed with a hand-held camera and it mimics the experience of sea-sickness. Take an anti-nausea medication before viewing. We had to leave after about 30 minutes. If you have ever seen Woody Allen's "Husbands and Wives," it has the same approach, only far worse. It is like watching close-ups of a family gathering taken with a camcorder that does not have image stabilization.
