This film was too sad and intense for my taste and if you like lighter films do not suggest seeing this one. However, if you do not mind gloom and very throughout examination of human psyche, you will love this film. Like I said before, it was too much for me and I left the theater kind of depressed, I like lighter films. The film is made very well and the actors do an amazing job, I was really impressed. The film felt a bit claustrophobic for my taste but in the same time it added to the overall atmosphere. The film is pretty slow and if you are not used to watching films like this one it will feel like you have been in the theater for days (“at least that is how I felt). Overall, I think this film will appeal to a very certain audience and will escape the mainstream audience.
I thought this film was alright but I do not think it is worth seeing in the theaters. It was a very quiet film that examines the psyche of one man and I found it to be a little bit too slow. The film does have an emotional aspect to it and it builds up slowly which builds up the intensity as well. You have to be patient with this film and you will be rewarded in the end, however if you do not like slow films i do not recommend seeing this film. Overall, i think renting this movie is a better idea than seeing it in the theaters.
