Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End Movie Reviews

This movie was very good. Anyone who didn't understand it, it was probably because you saw it in theaters. I have the DVD, and you can watch it as many times you like, which will help you understand what the point of it is. They are not "flogging this hore to death" what they are doing is being good directors and and actors and actresses and trying to make it seem more realistic. I would say that the reason why they made the close up on his nose and stuff was to show that he was in Davey Jones locker. I really like this movie, and i have to say that I think I have an obsession with Johnny Depp and his character Captian Jack Sparrow], and Keira Knightly and her character [Elizabeth Swann]. They are both excelent actors. The producer has a wild imagination, and really knows how to make things spark out at you. My favorite part was when Jack Sparrow said, "fire" all calm and then everyone else Screamed it. That showed a moment of defeat for Lord Bekkut [i think thats how you spell it]. Oh, and I LOVE the bloopers! :] Over all, it was an awesome movie, and I am hoping that they make at least one more!
To be honest I dont like this type of film and without Mr Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) then this film would completely fall on its arse. However the part in the desert where he is locked 'in eternity' is quite possibly one of the funniest scenes ive seen since american pie. I guess maybe its changed my opinion now. Thumbs up!
Plotless and pointless. A series of special effects strung together for no reason. The first movie was good, but they are flogging this horse to death
i gave this movie 5 stars cuz i love johnny depp!! he is so hot and i just love him well back to the movie well this movie was a lot more action and more serious and the other 2 pirates of the caribbean they were alot more funnier!!:) And all kids and adults can watch this show!!:)
This was not nearly as good as the first two, but it had its moments. My husband and I agreed that it was about 30 minutes too long. There was some good action and a lot of intellectual humor. the kind that I count on Johnny Depp for. Not a terrible waste, but left me wanting something...
I hate to say it, but I was dissipointed. Were they TRYING to make Johnny Depp look old, ugly, & dirty? What was with the close up of his pores on his nose??
They needed to keep the look he had with the first & second one.I realize he'a a PIRATE, but don't make him look like Keith Richards yet! Don't bury those good looks, he won't have them forever!!
(If you will all notice, they use his first Captain Jack image on all the marketing, toys, cereal, etc.)
They seemed to have too many different stories going on, became confusing at times.
Some scenes were poorly directed, with Captin Jack as a mere spectator.
We want more interactive story line & not quite so much CGI. That's what was wrong with the second one! Or at least more of a balance!
Over the top, in many ways. J. Depp was his "usual" self. Supporting actors did a great job. Action-Adventur e to the extreme. A great 12-year old kid's movie, that is entertaining to the old folks too, but about 20-30 minutes too long. Pop settled and hunger pangs set in, so I wasn't sure I'd be able to see the end, if I had wanted to. Fortunately, I did. Wife said it ranked up there with "Men in Black", which she attended with two grandson's who especially liked the the "slime and gore" scenes (but grandma did not). Much the same as the first, but different, but not much. Entertaining - very. Over the top - Yeah!. Computer generated action scenes were wild, vivid and again, over the top. Not bad - just "yeah right - Ms. Knightly makes Bruce Lee look like a lightweight in the fight scenes. Gave folks jobs and made the backers rich. The American Dream in film.
