3D made this movie. The animation was already pretty amazing but seeing it in 3D only added to the experience. Typically, I don’t enjoy 3D movies but the stop-motion animation of this film really benefitted from the additional dimension. Now, about the film, I really enjoyed the warm-hearted and funny story that was Paranorman. It doesn’t break out of any norms in any way but is still a very solid family film that many will enjoy. Although this wasn’t a Pixar film, it had all the great qualities of a Pixar film including solid story telling, jokes for all ages, and amazing animation. This movie was great, it was emotional, exciting, and endearing. I’m very happy I went to see Paranorman. -
What a great movie! Paranorman is another classic animated film. Paranorman is about a kid who can see dead people (zombies) and uses his powers to save his small town which is being taken over by zombies. I really enjoyed this film because it was well written, had great jokes, wasn’t too long, and best of all the visuals were amazing. Going to see it in 3D really added to the experience. The animation was already amazing but the 3D aspect made it like a whole different movie. This is great for anyone, kids and family or anyone else.
