I was so excited to see this film and I have been waiting for it to be released in the theaters for a very long time. My grandparents were from Lithuania and this film was very close to my heart and it did not disappoint, it was really great. I have heard many stories from my grandparents about communism and how life in Lithuania was during the occupation years and how basketball was a form of resistance. Basketball is very important in Lithuania and after seeing this film I understand why, it is not only a sport in Lithuania it has a much deeper meaning. I thought the film was great, it was made well and I loved the old footage included in the film I was really moved by this doc**entary. I highly recommend seeing this film in the theaters, it is inspiring and I bet you will remember this film for a long time. -
This was such a great doc**entary. This doc**entary is about the Lithuanian dream team and history behind their breaking out of the communist rule. Originally having to play for the communist Russia, the star Lithuanian basketball players finally got to represent their country after the fall of communism. This doc**entary was great because it handles the delicate subject very well and is a very emotional movie. You can tell how much the Olympics meant not only for the players of the Lithuanian basketball team, but also the entire country. Overall I really loved this doc**entary because I had no idea about the history behind this team or why basketball is so important to Lithuanians in general.
